My artmaking these days is somewhat akin to magical thinking. I pray through the doing of my work that the earth will ultimately heal, that its insects, animals, ecology and living beings of every type will experience peace, and all will become able to move forward to a future of interconnected health and sustainability.

During the COVID-19 pandemic I also did some "straight" drawing, my primary way of working early on. I often drew at a very large scale, sometimes continually from one end of a tall roll of drawing paper to  the other, as a scroll.
